Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the ADA, it’s important to know our history fighting for disability rights. Often, the history of Black disabled activists and their significant contributions are left out from the disability rights movement. Black people with disabilities have always resisted the ableism and racial injustice while consistently being integral in what we consider disability history. In this webinar, we will learn the history of Black Disability Activism and hear from a panel of Black disability advocates. Conversations about solidarity and intersectionality are crucial as we continue to live out the disability rights motto: “Nothing about us, without us.
